What is the difference between between the SHPE and the PRO Spreaders

Both the SHPE and PRO include:

  • Double wall poly design for durability
  • Vibrator when needed to keep material flowing
  • Stainless steel inverted ‘V’ over the auger to keep the weight of material off driveline                                                                       
  • Augers have variable pitch flighting to pull material faster at the exit to help prevent jamming
  • Augers feature auto reverse to force auger to reverse and clear jams.
  • Topscreen to break up clumps during material loading
  • Remote grease bearing kit for accessible maintenance and upkeep
  • Tie-downs to keep spreader mounted to the truck
  • Fitted tarp to keep hopper dry between uses.
  • 14” Poly spinner to spread material up to 30 feet.

SHPE Series

  • ½ HP auger motor
  • ¼ HP spinner motor
  • 2-1/2” partial length auger
  • For smaller businesses

PRO Series

  • ¾ HP auger motor
  • ½ HP spinner motor
  • 5-1/4” Full length auger or full length 12” wide pintle conveyor chain
  • Chain drive spreaders can spread wet material like pretreated salt or sand
  • Wider chute for high flow material spread
  • Chute swings away on a hinge to bulk unload unused material or fill buckets or walk-behind spreaders for sidewalks.
  • High volume spreader used for larger commercial contracting.
