Description

40 Gallon 'Short' tank for unleaded gas or diesel fuel (Measures 13" tall). Popular on the 2004 and up Workhorse chassis. The fuel sender now uses a new style mount that eliminates the hard to remove snap ring. A new flat ring plate mounts the fuel sender using stainless steel studs that won't rust. Future fuel sender replacements are now an easy operation. Always order a new O-ring (81-820) when ordering this tank even if you are using your original fuel sender. If you need a new fuel sender see listings below. Replaces the 40 gallon gas or diesel tanks on the 2004-on Workhorse Chassis, OE# W0010467. Was also used on the Workhorse RV W42 chassis. Tank includes a grounding strap mount bracket. This tank does not have an auxiliary port.

Corsol Coated on the Outside
This tank has a Corsol treatment on the outside. Corsol corrosion protection is a complete metal treatment system that protects steel from the corrosive effects of magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, sodium chloride, rock chipping, and extreme temperatures.

Aluminized on the Inside
Our tanks are aluminized on the inside to help protect against corrosion. Aluminized steel is a carbon steel that has been hot-dip coated with aluminum-silicon alloy. This process assures a tight metallurgical bond between the steel sheet and the aluminum coating, producing a material with a unique combination of properties possessed neither by steel nor by aluminum alone.
