Wheel Nut Indicators can identify a loose wheel nut with a simple visual inspection. After a wheel is properly torqued the Wheel Nut Indicators are placed on the wheel nuts in a uniform direction. At a glance the driver can see if the Wheel Nut Indicator has turned counter-clockwise showing the nut loosened. The temperature-sensitive polymer detects bearing or brake overheating problems by the indicator deforming at temperatures above 250°F.

Installation Procedures

• Torque wheel nuts to proper specs
• Ensure correct size by measuring nut from flat to flat
• Place wheel check over each nut with collar toward wheel. (easier to replace if necessary)
• For disc wheel, point the point to the center of following stud
• For other wheel types, (spoke pattern), point indicators toward the hub
• Inspect daily, if moved or deformed replace with red identifier and notify service dept.
