Groundbreaking Plow Guards

Xtendor® Plow Guards were the industry’s first snowplow curb guards designed specifically for contractors. Installed on the outside edge of the plow blade, they are perfect for windrowing applications on nearly any straight blade plow make or model.

Winter designed Xtendor® Plow Guards to install on the left and right outside edges of the plow blade, which are subjected to the highest wear. The curb guardsenable the cutting edge to wear evenly so you’re using the entire blade, not just part of it. Reducing uneven wear increases the overall life of the blade, decreases in-season blade changes and protects your equipment investment.

The end portion of the Xtendor® Plow Guard is cast steel made with a proprietary alloy. The casting has the same hard-wearing characteristics as an excavator bucket tooth. It is reinforced on the side and bottom with protective Winter® carbide to further reduce downtime and maintenance costs.

Unbeatable Wear Protection

Windrowing operations create excessive wear on ends of the cutting edge. Xtendor® Plow Guards protect the moldboard and blade from uneven wear. Our Winter® carbide reinforces the blade to promote even wear and extend blade life. Xtendor® Plow Guards also provide protection from curb damage.

You must drill your own holes to install the guards. Drilling instructions are available in the documents tab as a PDF.

The curb guards have a wrap-around piece that butts up against the cutting edge, allowing you to locate the guard correctly before drilling the holes. The rectangular part of the guard is made of 1/4″ mild steel for easy drilling.
