This pigtail converts a PL3 connection to a (water-tight) Amp connector. When upgrading your incandescent lamp to LED (or upgrading your LED lamp to a water-tight plug), you may need to change from a PL3 connection to an 'Amp' connection. This pigtail will allow your existing PL3 plug to now work with your new 'water-tight' amp connection on your new lamp.
