Dear Danger is a unique novelty shop specializing in women's clothing and accessories. Shoppers can find local, handmade items as well as select clothing lines. Since our launch in May 2015 we have been well received throughout California's Central Valley. Dear Danger frequents local events such as farmers markets, festivals, wineries & breweries. Even private parties! We were the first mobile boutique in Fresno and our goal was to create a mobile fashion movement in the area. Now we are thrilled to know two other young ladies who have launched their own fashion trucks!
I discovered mobile retail while studying Merchandise Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco, CA. Starting a fashion truck seemed to be an accessible and affordable way for me to have my first boutique, plus I loved the adventure of a traveling business. Soon after graduation in 2013, I moved to my (now) husbands family farm in Orange Cove, CA. I shared with him my fashion truck dreams and he said "let's do it!"
In October 2014 we began our search for a truck and fell in love with a 1989 Grumman Olson. Immediately we began our DIY retro fit of the truck. We installed hardwood flooring, AC/heat, lighting, curtains, mannequins, even a sliding glass door! We hired California Closets to install custom shelving, which they were thrilled to be a part of such an interesting project. Needless to say our customers get a kick when they enter the shop because it really does feel like a real brick and mortar boutique.
