How do I install a "slip-on" rocker? There are actually many different ways you can install them! The most common way is to slip the new rocker over top of the existing rocker and then attach it using glue, pop rivets, screws, spot welds, or any other method you feel will suffice. We make our slip-on rockers as easy to use as possible, so everyone regardless of skill level, feels comfortable working with and installing them. Slip-on instructions
A 'slip on' rocker panel is made from 22 gauge metal which is galvanized with zinc to prevent rust. When using this panel, you do not have to remove as much of the original sheet metal as with the OE style replacement. They are not as accurate, the metal is not as thick, and they do not curve up the door posts as a stamped steel rocker may. However, they are less expensive, easier to install, and will make the vehicle look good. If you would rather purchase a heavier gauge stamped panel, please click here.
Rest assured, when you buy a rust repair panel from Mill Supply, you are going to receive the best there is in the industry. Our purchasers search for the cleanest lines, smoothest curves and best stamped form when they purchase panels like; rockers, rear quarters, cab corners, door skins and other restoration parts. We work hard at keeping our prices down so you're getting the best value for your dollar. Auto body restoration has been our specialty since our founding in 1944 when we started by selling paint and other body shop supplies to local businesses in the Cleveland area. Since then, we have expanded nationwide, and with the internet, often sell overseas. Whether you're repairing a classic to current car, pickup truck, or even your daily driver, we have the restoration panels you need. We distribute parts for Key Parts, Sherman, Noram, Golden Star, and others.
